HAR has a large inventory of Duramax engines to fit all years of Silverado, Sierra, and medium-duty trucks from 2001 to the current model year. HAR takes a little different approach compared to most other salvage yards and sells our used engines COMPLETE and ready to run for your exact year of truck. We are DIY people and also business-minded people, so we understand that your time is valuable and the best way to save time and $$ is to do it right the first time! All HAR complete engines are physically inspected for defects, such as broken parts or leaks, and then repaired if needed. Next in the HAR process is the test running
of each engine. That’s right, every engine we sell is test run and evaluated to ensure a good running engine is ready for installation without problems.
All inspection and testing are done by trained HAR staff dedicated to the engine department 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. This team has processed thousands of Duramax engines and knows what to look for. Finally, the complete and fully tested engine is bolted to a skid using a custom metal engine stand designed by HAR and made in the USA. As with anything mechanical, there is always the possibility of an unexpected defect, and that is why HAR has the best warranty in the business that covers ALL parts of the engine, not just the block, crank, and heads.
